Koleksi Tenun Garut Sebastian Gunawan

Pada acara peluncuran produk sofa terbaru Moei di Moei Showroom (2/6), Sebastian Gunawan (Seba) bekerjasama dengan Cita Tenun Indonesia (CTI) menggelar sebuah mini show. Show ini merupakan sebuah hasil karya kolaborasi Seba dengan para penenun Garut untuk pertama kalinya. Menghadirkan tenun Garut lebih berwarna dengan pilihan warna biru, turquoise, kuning, ungu pastel, pink. Motif bunga dihadirkan dalam ukuran besar menjadi keistimewaan yang menghias koleksi Seba kali ini.

Sebastian Gunawan's Cheongsam Festivity

I was happy to know that the first fashion show I watched in 2012 would be from Sebastian Gunawan. There’s an image of a lady in cheongsam on the invitation and the fashion show would be titled Shanghai Swing. So it’s obvious that the fashion show would showcase Sebastian Gunawan’s creativity in designing cheongsam to welcome Chinese New Year.

I can recall how amazed I was to see how cheongsam could turn into extraordinary pieces of art in Seba’s hand last year. I also felt so excited to see beautiful dresses he created in Reflection of You fashion show. Apparently, Seba tried to maintain his signature style he had built in those previous shows in creating Shanghai Swing collection.

JFW 2012 Day 3: Sebastian Gunawan Goes Red for Women

To raise awareness on heart disease and how important healthy lifestyle is, “Go Red For Women!”, a campaign by Yayasan Jantung Indonesia was again held during Jakarta Fashion Week. It happened on the third day of JFW2012, Monday, November 14, 2011. This year YJI collaborated with Sebastian Gunawan, who also worked with Christina Panarese, to present a fashion show dedicated for the campaign. In line with the campaign, most of the guests of the shows wore red.

The show opened with beautiful melodies of the harp Maya Hasan. As Maya was playing her tune, Zivanna Letisha, Mesty Ariotedjo, and Susan Bachtiar as ambassador sand spokespeople of YJI walked through the runway wearing Sebastian’s. The event also covered a charity auction. Two charity auction items which are Christian Louboutin fuchsia-sequined peep toe heels and diamond rings were both sold for Rp30.000.000. All the money raised from this auction will be allocated to fund heart surgery of people who can’t afford it.
