TPFF 2014 International Program

TPFF is excited to be growing their International Program in 2014 through a new partnership with FIDé Fashion Weeks and the Asian Couture Federation.

The highlight of the 2014 International Program will be the TPFF Opening Night: International Runway – Beyond Imagination on Wednesday 17 September.

The breathtaking Opening Night runway show will feature, in an Australian first, two of Asia’s leading designers Sebastian Gunawan and Michael Cinco, alongside award-winning WA designer Ae’lkemi.

Filipino designer Michael Cinco is international renowned for his spectacular couture gowns which he creates with rich fabrics and detailed crystal embellishments, reflecting his devotion to the intricacy of detail. His designs have been worn around the globe by celebrities and models including Naomi Campbell, Sofia Vergara, Dita Von Teese and Lady Gaga.

Indonesian couturier and high-fashion designer Sebastian Gunawan is consistently acknowledged as one of the leading designers in Indonesia. His sophisticated eveningwear features detailed adornment of beads, sequins, semiprecious stones and crystals, and has been worn by celebrities worldwide including Paula Abdul, Brandy and Giuliana Rancic.

The new partnership with FIDé Fashion Weeks and the Asian Couture Federation offers an excellent opportunity for the WA fashion industry and its designers to gain exposure on an international scale, and building the profile of WA as a premier hub of emerging fashion talent.
