Sebastian Gunawan Fashion Show by Winson
The Indonesian high-fashion designer has done
it again! He launched a perfectly crafted collection in a fashion show
entitled “A Lady’s Portrait”, and we are glad to have been a part of
it.
The allure of Marie Antoinette, the legendary
Queen of France, felt like it came to life through the collection of
high-fashion couture designed by the maestro, Sebastian Gunawan,
displayed during his solo fashion show at the Grand Ballroom of The
Ritz-Carlton Pacific Place. The elegance of the 18th century met a touch
of modernity and made the women wrapped in the collection appear
stunningly beautiful. Wealth of colors met with an equal wealth of
details. It was both extravagant yet elegant. The collection seemed to
tell a story of fantasy and romance. The stage was perfectly designed to
bring out the best in this collection and it was amazing.
Indonesia
is becoming a healthy place for designers and like-minded creative
people to grow. We have had the opportunity to work with many talented
fashion designers, especially, and we have loved every project we shared
with them. But to have the opportunity to document a historical event
such as the launch of a collection designed by one of Indonesia’s most
influential high-fashion designer, who has also earned international
respect as Asia’s Couturier Extraordinaire, is an honor we would never
take for granted.
Thank you, Sebastian Gunawan, for trusting us to capture your moment. Here’s to your everlasting success.
Cheers,
