Talk of the town: Galeries Lafyatte Goes Fashiontastic
As we reported last week, Galeries Lafayette Pacific Place has been partnering with Bank Mandiri to welcome the Chinese New Year with a fashion show and shopping event called Fashiontastic, running from Jan. 18 to Feb. 28.
Some of the capital’s connoisseurs of luxury were decked out in red on Jan. 21, when Fashiontastic made its bow at Galeries Lafayette, with a trunk show featuring the majestic creations of designers Ghea Panggabean and Sebastian Gunawan, under his Votum label.
Fashiontastic is also offering exclusive Chinese New Year themed pieces–quantities limited to six per item–from 10 local designers, including Studio 133 Biyan, JII By Gloria Agatha, Mel Ahyar, Sean and Sheila, Todjo by Sapto Djojokartiko, VONE, Yosafat Dwi Kurniawan and SISSAE.
Don’t miss the holiday pop-up store on the ground floor (look for the red-and-blue decorations and cherry blossom tree), featuring a selection of charming, locally made Year of the Monkey items from the cultural curators at Alun Alun Indonesia. Also on offer are exquisite gifts and hampers courtesy of Tea et Al and Elantier.
While Fashiontastic ends on Feb. 28, don’t forget that Galeries Lafayette Fidélité Gold card holders can enjoy perks year round, including additional discounts, consultations with fashion advisers, as well as discounts, free coffee and deserts at establishments like Canteen and PAUL.
